Kenzo 2012 ads.

__________

For some time now, I've been checking out (DROOLING OVER!) Kenzo's online shop (the green-pink suit was on my radar last spring :D), and one of the imperatives on my to-buy list are the Vans x Kenzo sneakers. But what I've been mostly been attracted to, this last couple of months, is the autumn/winter ad for this french-japanese brand. And the ad made me investigate a little deeper into the sea called Kenzo where I fell in love with the whole visual image of the brand.

I know you all write about Kenzo Tiger Sweater (FIY I've prepared a post about them few days ago, but I really didn't want to clutter people with talking about the IT piece of the season), but I decided to write about the genius re-branding Kenzo has encountered during these last few years. Kenzo's new, totally cool and edgy vibe is certainly work of the new creative directors: Humberto Leon and Carol Lim. I shall stop talking, and let you indulge in the brilliant world of the New Kenzo.

__________

No that's not Grace Jones in 15 different poses. And no it's not a vintage ad from the 80's. This is the work of Juan Gatti. I literally live for the 80's and lady Grace Jones so it was very easy for me to fall in love with this campaign. There's the switch to a new, young, and trendy crowd. < 3

Damn, branding... Djelo Jean-Paula Goudea, fotografa iz (ne-bi-rekli) 80-ih.
__________

And this was love at first sight. The Tiger Sweater is the star of the show, absolute fun is bursting all over the place. I love the Eastern feel in these ads, and in this second photo I'm properly jealous. I literally NEED to jump in the photo, and until I do, I'll be jealous to death of how much fun they are having. That's what the new brand image of Kenzo is all about. It makes you want to become a part of the Kenzo family. Damn, branding... This ad is work of Jean-Paul Goude, a photographer from the (so-not-expected) 80's.
