Lines and sines

Wow. 10 days. I feel guilty as hell... In the mean time (and by mean time, I mean my free time from the blog) I turned 21, came back from Paris, and one of Croatian fashion weeks (Fashion.hr) has started... Plus, I've started working on the next issue of Elle, preparing my exams and trying to see my friends. It's the #FirstWorldProblems category of current affairs, but it's also #MyWorldProblems category too - so I currently cannot even catch the time to see further than the end of my nose.

If I started to share my excuses or begin a detailed update of what I've been up to, it would probably get sobby, superficial and irritating really quick so I won't be doing it anytime soon. I better get back to where I was - creating content I (and possibly you) care about.
My latest obsession came to me in the most cliché of a place - Paris. The breton stripe as a starting point of every iconic Jean Paul Gaultier collection, but the most intense struck of inspiration came during a shopping spree in Galeries Lafayette, while I was rambling between racks of Carven and Kenzo, when I met one of my new fashion love - Ami by Alexandre Mattiussi. I'll be covering his brand and story soon, when I show you my brand new sneakers from his S/S 2014 collection.

But for now and at the moment, his shadow stripe print reminiscent of 40's cocktail pyjamas was the moment when I started researching my mind for fabulous stripe moments I could share on my blog.
Coco Chanel's graciousness, James Dean's eternal class and Rihanna's gender-bending Raf Simons outfit came to mind - a combination of zoot suit and breton stripe, it's a beautiful marriage of never-dying trends (okay, some may argue on the zoot-suit) I love.

As Igrajna (founder, owner and designer at Iggy) is a dear friend, I have been talking her into creating me custom-made menswear pieces (or at least customised womenswear ones) since she doesn't do menswear, and once again - as a dear friend - she didn't need much persuading... I already got my amazing winter sleeveles coat, and I recently got 2 new pieces. The first of the two is a stripey spring coat that's a hibrid between dressing gown and outerwear - which instantly made my life happier. Because who wouldn't like to spend their day in something comfy which reminds you of relaxing and lounging? I sure do. Together with a button up, and a long-sleeved t-shirt used as a belt - it gets a funkier feeling of a party outfit... And party I did!
