A combo of music & fashion - count me in.
If I had to choose my favourite celebrity fashion editorial, this one must be in my top 3 choices. The magnetic musical duo that's on a high right now - Daft Punk joined the Chicago-born supermodel Karlie Kloss in a fashion-decades themed editorial for the August issue of Vogue US.
The styling features amazing creations by Gucci, The Row, Dolce & Gabbana and many many more major fashion designers, and as a costume design lover I love how it describes the fashion of past decades in a formal, retro yet modern way.
As the shapes & silhouettes describe the decade, the thing that makes them 21st century wearable & current are the interpretations of the materials, but also the spirit of Karlie Kloss with the futuristic Daft Punk. The best look for Karlie is definitely the Gucci ensemble of the feather & sequined skirt matched with the silk top, but she looks amazing in all of the looks. If I must choose a look that's least working for me it would be the Balmain mini with black tights that feels to autumn-y, and not so retro. But hey, with a body like Karlie's you can work ANYTHING.
