I'm just taking a quick break from studying (the hardest history exam on thursday- KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!), and I decided to put a new 'column' on my blog.

it's- 'my 5 favs'. :D

my friends always ask me- 'which is your favourite tee?' or 'how can you decide on your favourite sneakers when you have so many?', and that's why I decided to put up this theme. :D

I have really REALLY a lot of blazers (new, old, vintage, designer brands, high-street brands...), and I narrowed the number just for you...

it was hard but here it goes...

my dad's 80's blazer.

great for evening, suitable for night- it's a basic broad-shouldered black blazer (with chic pepita lining).

I wear it everywhere, and I can say it's the most worn blazer of them all. :D

my new Zara velvet blazer I got on sale (from 999 HRK to just 299).

it's very formal and serious but also fashionable because of the black lapels. :D

haven't worn it yet (has a tag on xD), but I'm already in love with it.

grandad's 60's light blue/grayish blazer.

it's really easy to wear (especially in summer), but I like to spice it up mixing it with a pair of hi-tops or a cool striped tee.

ideal for those days when you feel like cr*p! :D

McNeal plaid linen blazer I wore to my prom. :D

I really love it for 2 reasons:

1. it reminds me of my prom. :D

2. it's great for formal summer events.

my latest second hand shop buy!

a fab oversized dark red/burgundy blazer with contrasting black satin lapels, pockets and buttons. :D

I haven't worn this one too, but I can say it's one of my best shs buys. :D

it's unique and retro but very street (it's very oversized). :D

can't wait to sport it! :P

remember I talked about a collaboration with a fab UK brand called YourEyesLie?

well, I got a few chic pieces from them so I decided to do a post about them!

when I read that their first physical store was opened in Camden (my absolute fav part of London) I instantly fell in love with them.

their aesthetic is urban, edgy and definitely a bit alternative. :D

you can imagine their clothes & accessories on fashionistas like Alexa Chung, Matt Smith and Daisy Lowe (+ a bunch of other young fashionable people).

they say their signature is a plain white tee which they see as a blank canvas for their creativity. 

I love their galaxy prints, digital print tees and chic-as-hell accessories. :D

this time, the person I interviewed was a international designer...

his works were included in a Vogue Italia editorial with Raquel Zimmerman ('The A train')- I published the photos on my blog before (HERE).

he's Deryck Todd, NY-based headwear&clothing designer. :D

when I saw his work I instantly fell in love with it.

MAJOR LOVE! :D

I'm planning on getting one piece (I just need to decide which one :D).

'Goldie Lux'

1. How did you start designing headwear?
I started wearing hats at the age of 5 when my mom dressed him up like Robin Hood and was stuck being jealous of his sister, Tinkerbell. Through high school, I sported baseball caps, but come adulthood, those sport team hats just weren’t cutting it— not to mention they clashed with my smokey eye make up. So I began to cover up the boring cap with glam: gems, studs, chains, feathers, whatever he could get his hands on. And thus, the line of Deryck Todd hats was born.

2. What was your first piece?
My first piece was something that hasn’t seen the light of day in years - it was a cap I put a few clear and green Swarovski’s crystals on and wore to the gym - it was all the rage in the steamroom.

3. What was your family’s opinion on you being a headwear designer?

Oh, they can’t get enough - my mother is convinced if they get to the front of line at Good Morning America that Sam Champion will wear one to the Emmys.

4. What’s your education in fashion design?
I studied to be an opera singer at NYU and took design classes privately for a few years - shout out to my teacher Cece who owns a boutique on the Lower East Side.

5. What influenced you the most during your first years of designing?
I’m still in those 1st few years and I’m inspired by vintage magazines, cartoon characters and roller coasters.

Christian Gospel. Sometimes it’s a movie like Women In Revolt or a show like Designing Women - same difference.
