style brick road: when in London...

when in London...

It's been almost 10 days since my return from London, but I just recently forced myself to finally organize all the photos... Somehow it has now become real that my trip is behind me. Yet somehow, it's easy for me to accept it, knowing that I'll soon get another such opportunity...

But let's put aside tears and nostalgia, and talk about my voyage!! :P I decided that these posts about my London trip will be a little different from those about Paris. This time, I won't describe day by day (there were 12 of them and there are over 1700 photos so it would be a little too complicated, and monotonous for you). This time, I'll write posts about the places I recommend, and about places that are my absolute London favourites!
I've been to London several times, so this style-brick-road 'guide' won't feature the 'expected' places like Buckingham Palace and Madame Tussauds (which I adore, but I already seen them!). Some places are perhaps typical tourist-y (like the one for today!), but the difference is the inspirational and historial factor.

And to begin with with such a cliché place in the heart of London that most Londoners say they've never been there! : D It's 'Tower of London', located riiiight next to Tower Bridge and tube station 'Tower Hill'. That was the first time I went there and I was absolutely impressed. History is so fascinating, the organization of the place is actually WOW, and natural beauty that is trapped within these walls is astonishing.  Inspiration is bursting just like that!

I will not talk about it anymore, you must visit the ToL! : D

Right next to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London is a beautiful small harbour called St. Katherine Docks, which reminded me of those Californian ports from series such as OC.
That's one of the charms of London, every time you feel like you're somewhere else-maybe a time machine journey to 1000 years back in time, or an airline trip to China / California. :D
