just like little girls and boys with their little toys. seems like all they really were doing was waiting for love.

hello boys&girls!

I'm sooo sorry that I didn't write yesterday but it was SO hectic!

a lot of things to do for my college, an event at WestGate mall near Zagreb with Ana & Ljupka, and, ofcourse, a bit of shopping (will post photos asap)! :D

it was very fun (a bit of dancing, and a lot of laughing!).

I met Viktor Drago (one of the most influential people in croatian fashion), and that was super-fab!

so, today is 'interview saturday' so I'm presenting you another great young croatian designer.

again, it's a jewelry designer.

absolutely unique and FUN FUN!

it's Marita Stanić, the founder of YoSoyJuanita jewelry which I absolutely ADORE!

here goes the interview...

1. When did you start making jewelry and selling it?

I've been making all kinds of jewelry but just for myself for some time now, but I've started making and selling Yo Soy Juanita Lego Jewelry about year and a half ago.

2. How did you come up with the name of your brand- YoSoyJuanita?
The name of my brand is actually the first verse from the 2Live Crew song "Mama Juanita" - when I was trying to think of a name for my brand the song started playing on my iPod and that was that... Yo Soy Juanita was born :)

3. Can you live solely from selling your jewelry?
I don't know the exact number of monthly orders, I should probably hire an accountant, I'm not organised enough for that :) I can't live solely from selling jewelry, but it makes a not so bad allowance!

4. How do you see the future of your brand?
Well, I wouldn't mind if LEGO hired me :) I don't know yet, we'll see. Que serra serra!

5. What is your favourite piece of jewelry?
Tough one... I prefer jewelry from young Croatian designers like Little Wonder, Luce Lu, PixelMySmile, Etoile de mer, Quirks, Micica and many more. I think that it's more original and creative than the jewelry that you can buy in most stores, and the prices are good! From my own jewelry I kept only few pieces for myself, mostly prototypes that are dear to me.

my absolute favourite! ˆ*

6. How did you come up to the idea of making LEGO jewelry?
When I was playing with legos after a LONG LONG time, I made a lego heart and I thought to myself - it would make a nice necklace! - I made one for myself and that's how it all began.

7. What's your inspiration and where do you go to find new ideas?
I find my inspiration in everything that surrounds me... From old video games to fruit, sometimes from some special lego pieces that are rare and I want to use them in a certain way, Ideas come to me spontaneously.

8. What would you like to say to your current and future fans?
I would like to thank them for all of their love and support <3

 LEGO poop! <3

 that's it folks!

thankies to Marita for the interview! :DD

I'll try to write another post today since I didn't write it yesterday! :D

hope you like it! ˆ*
